About Autumn
Autumn is the operating system for independent hospitality. We unify pricing, search, the booking engine, reputation, and email against a single guest record — so a small team can run a marketing stack that usually requires a brand, an agency, and a tech vendor.
We started in 2019 in Lisbon, moved to Aix-en-Provence in 2023, and now serve 412 independent houses across nineteen countries. We earn only when a direct booking lands. Our incentives mirror the operator's.

About the role
Design and build in the same motion. You own surfaces from concept to shipped React, hold the craft bar for the whole product, and prototype at AI-native speed.
What you'll do:
- Own surfaces end-to-end: design in the browser, ship the React, and sweat the typography, motion, and detail that make Autumn feel inevitable.
- Extend the editorial design system and component library that ships to every property — tokens, primitives, the on-brand booking engine, the marketing site.
- Build the high-craft marketing moments — hero animations, product demos, the Remotion composition kit — that show the product working instead of describing it.
- Prototype at AI-native speed: drive the most advanced AI coding workflows (Claude Code, Cursor, v0) to go from a sketch to a working, interactive prototype in hours.
- Pair with engineers and real operators — turn messy operator workflows into interfaces that need no manual.
Requirements
We don't require formal credentials. We do require:
- A portfolio of shipped interfaces where you did both the design and the front-end build — not handoffs.
- Fluent in React / TypeScript / Tailwind and modern CSS, and comfortable owning motion and interaction, not just layout.
- Genuinely AI-native: you already prototype and ship with the most advanced AI coding tools and can show how they sharpen both your craft and your pace.
- Restraint over flourish — typography, hierarchy, and decisions you can explain in a sentence.
- Based in New York City — this is an in-person role.
Location
This role is remote within Europe. If you prefer the office, you can work from New York City.
