About Autumn

Autumn is building the AI operating system for independent hotels. Today, hotels run across fragmented legacy software, agencies, spreadsheets, and manual workflows. We're building an AI-native platform that understands the business, makes decisions, and executes work—giving independent hotels capabilities that previously required entire teams.

We raised the largest seed round in hospitality tech, led by Bessemer Venture Partners. We're building a small, exceptional team in person in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, with substantial ownership and the opportunity to shape a company from its earliest stages.

The opportunity

We're looking for a creative, high-agency product builder with exceptional judgment and taste. You'll work directly with our Founder & CEO to turn customer problems, research, and emerging opportunities into products people love using.

You'll be our first dedicated product hire, taking ideas from an ambiguous question to a working prototype, through launch and iteration. You should enjoy figuring out what matters, making the experience tangible, and working closely with engineers to bring it to life. Your impact will come from the quality of your decisions and what you ship.

What you'll do

  • Get close to independent hotel owners: observe their workflows, uncover unmet needs, and distinguish underlying problems from feature requests.
  • Combine customer insight, market research, and competitive analysis into clear product opportunities. Learn from excellent products across industries.
  • Partner with the CEO on product strategy and prioritization, choosing the few problems worth solving deeply and defining how we'll know we've succeeded.
  • Turn ambiguous ideas into coherent user experiences: map workflows, explore alternatives, and create prototypes that make decisions concrete.
  • Build and test MVPs quickly using AI tools, existing software, and custom engineering where it matters. Choose the fastest credible way to validate an idea.
  • Work directly with design and engineering on implementation, balancing simplicity, quality, technical constraints, and speed.
  • Design AI experiences that make automation useful and understandable, with appropriate controls, transparency, and trust.
  • Own the path from validation to launch, adoption, and iteration. Use customer behavior and feedback to improve what ships.
  • Keep a tight feedback loop with Sales, Customer Success, Special Projects, and Engineering so that product decisions reflect real customer needs.

Who you are

  • You've taken products or meaningful new capabilities from zero to one at an early-stage or fast-growing technology company. You can show what you personally built, decided, and improved.
  • You have exceptional product judgment and a strong eye for design. You can turn a complex problem into a simple, polished experience.
  • You're highly creative and resourceful. You generate thoughtful alternatives, challenge assumptions, and find practical ways to test your ideas.
  • You act with high agency: you create clarity, make decisions, and move work forward without waiting for a detailed brief.
  • You're technically fluent enough to collaborate deeply with engineers and make sensible implementation tradeoffs. You're comfortable using AI and prototyping tools yourself.
  • You combine customer empathy with analytical rigor. You care about whether the product actually changes an outcome.
  • You communicate clearly, take feedback well, and bring both conviction and curiosity to your work.

Your background might be in product, product design, engineering, or building your own company. Evidence of exceptional work matters more than a particular title. Hospitality experience is helpful, but not required.

What success looks like

You turn unclear opportunities into focused decisions and high-quality launches. Customers adopt what we build because it solves a real problem, the experience feels simple, and the value is clear. Each launch makes the next product decision better informed.

Why join

Help define how an AI-native operating system should work in an industry ready for change. You'll have direct access to the founder, close collaboration with engineering, and broad ownership of the products we bring to market.
